The Invictus Women's Weekend will introduce women from ages 15 and up to life saving tactics and techniques from both Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Presented by Krav Maga Expert Instructor Chris Green, Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Steve Silvers and assisted by a cadre of female Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu Coaches and assisted by a host of other professionals from Law Enforcement, Mental Health Counseling, Victim Advocacy and more will give this seminar a depth of coverage that is unsurpassed by any other women’s safety course. This two and a half day seminar is a kickstarter for women who are interested in learning how to feel safer but have never committed to the process yet. By providing them with verbal and physical skills to mitigate threats and access to professionals in the trauma counseling and victim advocate fields.
Participants will be taught how to physically defend themselves from common attacks against women such as Slaps/ Punches, Grabs on the clothes, hair, wrists, purse to include Bear Hugs which are used in abduction attempts, Knife and Firearm Threats. During this seminar, participants will get to indirectly interact with a professional counselor who can discuss how trauma can be treated through counseling and encouraged to face triggers by continuous training while victim advocates will be on hand to comfort those who are may be triggered during training.
In addition to critical physical skills, students will also learn skills in communicating through conflict, setting boundaries when it’s time to stop being nice, and how to use their voice, loud and proud.

Saturday- 9am-2pm: Defending against chokes, grabs and kidnaping attempts
Sunday- 9am-2pm: Defending against Guns, Knives and Multiple Attackers
